An ensemble put together from the players of the Symphonic Orchestra of University of Jyväskylä, Sinfis, makes its debut in Yläkaupungin Yö, opening the whole 2022 event. Experience this unique symphonic lunch in the ever so beautiful Harju of Jyväskylä by listening to famous pieces from classical, movie and game music.

The Symphonic Orchestra of University of Jyväskylä ry a.k.a. Sinfis, founded in 1993, is the university’s official representative orchestra. The orchestra is known as an active amateur orchestra consisting mainly of students. They perform 2-3 full symphonic concerts every year in the concert halls and churches around the city. In addition, smaller ensembles perform during the summer in various events.
